15XY Laser Diameter Gauge adopts a two-dimensional measurement mode, and the two-dimensional Laser Diameter Gauge measures the diameter value of the work piece in two directions. Its structure is compact, and it has the same operation function and output interface. It consists of a laser measuring head, an operation panel, and a remote controller, and can be extended to connect various sizes of remote displays, as shown in the following figure.

Laser Diameter Applicable Advantage
1. Breaking through the limitations of “blind testing”: Achieving true 100% full inspection
Measurements are taken simultaneously during production on the extrusion line, covering 100% of the entire roll of consumables. Any abrupt change or gradual transition in diameter is precisely detected, preventing defective products from entering the market.
2. Extremely high precision and resolution
The accuracy of diameter gauges is typically in the range of ±0.001mm to ±0.003mm, with a resolution of 0.0001mm. This micron-level sensing capability is absolutely impossible for handheld tools to achieve.
3.Linked extruders for joint use
The diameter gauge can be directly connected to the extruder’s PLC or the traction machine’s frequency converter via communication protocols (RS485/Modbus). If the gauge detects a diameter that is too large, it automatically fine-tunes and increases the traction speed; if it detects a diameter that is too small, it automatically decreases the traction speed.
4. “Non-contact” measurement protects consumables and equipment.
Using laser scanning, the consumables do not need to come into contact with any mechanical parts. This prevents scratches on the consumable surface (protecting its gloss) and avoids affecting measurement results due to tension or friction.
